LETTER TO LIFE - The Fight is Not Over

Image
29th September 2020 The Universe, Planet Earth,   Dear life, THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER I don’t need to introduce myself because I’m sure you know who I am. I know you have no regard for me because you’ve beaten me up many times, and of course, you know all my failures and weaknesses. That’s fine. There’s just something I’d like to call your attention to. And that is to tell you what you don’t know about me. You see, the thing is… You got so used to me failing and falling that you didn’t take time to notice how much I have grown. You whooped my ass so bad a lot of times that you lost every form of respect for me. So, you despised me, you called me a nobody, you said we were no equal match so you took your attention off me thinking it’s all over. What you didn’t realize is that while you looked away, cheering the crowd and feeling proud, I was healing and putting myself together. You thought my downfall was a bed of comfort, you thought it was over for me. What you di...

FROM PAIN TO PURPOSE. 3 Lessons from the life of the lady who lived with her intestine outside her abdomen for 3 years.

Image
Hi guys, It's been a while I put up something here. I've been really occupied lately but I had to share this. So the other day, I came across a story. It's about a lady by the name Takeyiah Reaves. Her story is inspiring because its an example of what I call"Pain to Purpose." She turned around her story by finding purpose in an unpleasant experience she had. She was a victim of a stray bullet and she was (I don't want to say lucky) privileged by God to survive. And since her recovery, she has been involved with two nonprofit organizations: Bullets 4 Life and Wounded but Alive    Bullets 4 Life takes live bullets off the streets and repurposes them into jewelry for survivors or loved ones of survivors, and Wounded But Alive is a support group for female survivors of gun violence. She says, “I want to be known for helping people grow through things I had to go through alone, I want to spread love across the world, especially at times like this when there is so...

THE POWER OF YOUR IMAGINATION. USE YOUR MIND!

Image
Today I want to talk to you about the power of your mind. Imagination is the ability to form a mental image of something that is not perceived through the five senses. It is a creative ability that can be learned. The mind can create a mental picture of something that has happened or is yet to happen. The beautiful thing is that with your imagination you can travel anywhere in the world with the speed of light without any obstacles; it can take you to the Future. “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”  -Albert Einstein. What is imagination, is it the same as daydreaming? Imagination and daydreaming are quite similar but here are the differences. Spending the entire day thinking of something impossible is daydreaming but thinking about an idea and then collecting facts to make it a reality is imagination. Daydreaming invites failure but imagination is the first step towards success. When you are imagining, there is a sense of aliveness and...

BEAT YOUR WALLS. 9 WALLS YOU NEED TO BEAT DOWN TO LIVE A FULFILLED LIFE.

Image
To 'beat your wall' means to face your giant. In this context, a wall means ANYTHING that is holding you down and restricting you from being that wonderful, intelligent, talented and loving person you were created to be. Anything stopping you from being the best version of yourself.   A wall could be anything; it could be your Past (mistakes or failures), people's negative perception of who you are, your environment, inferiority complex, judgemental and negative individuals surrounding you, financial constraints, a heartbreak, death of a loved one or an habit etc.  The above points are walls which can confine a person into oblivion and make one scared of themself and the world out there. This type of wall provides a negative protection; nothing comes in and nothing goes out. It casts dark shadows and stops light of any form, making the individual blind and all the more scared.  But guess what? There's more to life than living like a prisoner. There is so ...

RECUPERATE YOUR SELF-WORTH

Image
What can you think of that doesn't have, at least, an intricate value of it's own? Among the numerousity of every living(as well as non-living) creature on Earth, there is not a single one that is worthless. You will agree with me, that to have a life is to have a worth --- there is a value attached. And evidently, as many of us will believe, we are all categorically a valuable part of the constitutes of creation. Matter of fact, nothing ever exists, being created, to be tossed uselessly around with no designated value. We are all blessed with the gift of life and with amazing characteristics. We possess value, intricate, that are unique and special. And It will be adorable if, with a sense of self-recognition, we can connect with our intricate value and worth. However, many are no longer in synchrony with the devinity of their self-worth and sense of importance; and apparently, as nature would have it, the cause of the shift stems out of the rumpleness of thei...

DON'T DESPISE PROCESS (You need to trust the process)

Image
I recall this story I heard many years ago about a man who acquired a new property in an old residential area. The house was surrounded by very tall trees which provided shade to the compound but was also an abode for birds. The man hated the sound of the birds chirping both day and night so he hired some people to cut down all the trees. After cutting the trees, he was glad that the birds had flown away but then he realized that the log was taking so much space so he started thinking of a way to dispose them. One day, a young man was passing by his house and saw the woods in the compound so he knocked on his door and asked to buy some. The man didn't hesitate. He told the young man, I dont need the money, just pay what you can afford.” So the young man paid #6,000 for about 25 log of wood and left joyfully. He came back the next day with a pick-up truck to carry the woods. As the young man and driver were struggling to lift the log in the truck, the house owner saw how...
