HOW TO PREPARE FOR AN INTERVIEW.
An interview is your best chance to show the recruiter that you are the best candidate for the job, and whether or not you get the job depends largely on how you perform during the interview, so it is imperative to make a great first impression on your hiring manager. Also, note that it is not just what you do, it is also about what you say, and how you say it.
Here are a few tips…

1. Understand the role you are applying for. Review the job description. It is important to understand the duties you will perform and the skills required to do the job.

2. Research about the company (know their aims and objectives, check their social media and website) Researching the company before an interview will give you an insight into the organization’s future goals and plans.

3. Tailor your C.V to suit the job you are applying for. List the experiences, and core soft and hard skills that are most relevant to the job on your CV

4. Write a professional cover letter. Don’t just send your CV as an attachment. The cover letter also determines if your CV will be reviewed or not.

5. Use appropriate heading. Some recruiters will tell you what the heading should be. That is what you should use.

6. Send your CV in PDF format.

7. Save your CV with your full name (not- my edited CV, my resume, etc.)

8. Prepare a list of questions to ask the interviewers

9. Rehearse the answers you will give to the questions you are asked. You can rehearse with a friend.

10. Speak the truth. Don’t lie about anything either on your CV or when answering a question.
